1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small information files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by online service providers in order to ( for example) make their websites or services work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.

VWO uses similar cookies to track visitor information for those who become part of any campaigns. These cookies help to identify the variation a visitor has viewed, and make sure that the same variation is served to the visitor every time. In addition to ensuring consistency, cookies are also used to track goals completed by a visitor or determine if a visitor is part of a test.

VWO cookies are created when the visitors land on a website that has a VWO code installed on it. If VWO cookies already exist, then the missing cookies are created, and older cookies updated with new information.

Definition Descriptions
“Cookie”	means a small file consisting of letters and numbers that Our Website downloads to your computer or device.

However, We would periodically and  actively try to investigate them and categorize them in their respective cookie categories for the benefit of Our partners, customers and their end-users.

3.7. Unclassified cookies

List of first party cookies, their owners and purpose, made while using VWO application, site, or any of the associated services on one of our owned domains. These cookies have, so far, not been classified into one of known buckets.

Any cookie, whose purpose has not been identified by Us or is unknown to our current understanding, is classified together as “Unclassified Cookies”.

5. What About Other Tracking Technologies, like Web beacons?

Cookies are not the only way to recognize or track visitors to a website. We may use other, similar technologies from time to time, like web beacons (sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”). These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enables us to recognize when someone has visited our Websites or opened an e-mail including these.
